DODD Medication Administration Classes

Stacy Mitchell RN, MSN is a State of Ohio Master level nurse and the founder and CEO of Education Fosters Growth.

 

With over 30 years of experience working with developmentally delayed individuals, Stacy works tirelessly to encourage and empower her students to obtain the knowledge to safely administer medications according to the DODD State of Ohio curriculum. She is also a certified instructor with the American Heart Association teaching Basic Life Support CPR and first aid.

Stacy's experience, education, and training include:

The Toledo Hospital:

Administered medications, provided patient education on diet and medication management, and communicated with nephrology doctors.

ABC Health Care, 2016 Nurse of Year: Oversaw Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) providing care for developmentally disabled (DD) clients in a home healthcare setting; ensured compliance with visit schedules, medication regimens, home safety, and documentation protocol, maintained adherence to Medicare and Medicaid OASIS guidelines.

Athena School of Nursing: Scheduled nursing instructors, led courses (pharmacy, nursing skills, med-surg), provided clinical instruction, and counseled students.

Stacy also prides herself on creating an interactive learning environment, that is engaging. She enjoys watching cooking shows, exercising, and mentoring up-and-coming nurses.
